The Job Search in 2025 Is Wild—3 Hacks to Actually Help You Stand Out.
Let’s be honest: applying for jobs in 2025 feels…a little unhinged. 😬
Between AI bots flooding applications, resume tools promising instant success, and job boards tempting you to apply with one click—it’s no wonder job-seekers feel overwhelmed and invisible.
(and like, super annoyed, if I'm honest.)
But here’s the thing: What works now isn’t what worked five years ago. It’s definitely not what’s floating around the internet in those one-size-fits-all “how to get hired” listicles.
And you won't find it in that "I'll fix your job search problems in 60-seconds" video, either.
So let’s cut through the noise.
I’ve worked in recruiting for over a decade, partnered directly with C-level execs, built hiring programs from the ground up, hired over 1,000 employees—and now I coach job-seekers who want to do things smarter, not harder.

What does that look like? Giiirl...I'm so glad you asked. 😏
Here are 3 underused (but highly effective) hacks I share inside my new Kickstarter program—and they’re already helping people land interviews with jobs they actually want:
1️⃣ Optimize Your LinkedIn So Recruiters Can Actually Find You
When one of my clients made just a few simple changes using the checklist I gave him— within one weekend, he got an InMail from a recruiter about a job they hadn’t even posted yet.
Why? Because the recruiter was sourcing proactively—and my client showed up in their search.
I call it: Job Attraction.
LinkedIn is like any other social media: it rewards activity and newness.
Here’s the kicker: most people are invisible on LinkedIn and don’t even realize it. Incomplete profiles, vague headlines, outdated experience...it all adds up to missing out on opportunities.
So, how do you fix it? Optimize your profile.
Start by choosing the right keywords for your headline, About section, and experience bullets—because LinkedIn is a search engine, and your keywords matter. (🌟Hint: The workbook in my Kickstarter guides you through this exact exercise.)
2️⃣ Use LinkedIn Voice Notes to Network (Yes, Really)
This one makes people nervous at first—but it works.
📢 Comfort-zone abandoners, welcome!
Yeah, I know. This feels unorthodox and a little uncomfortable, (at least in the beginning), but that's okay. We can do hard things.
After connecting with someone on LinkedIn, leave them a 60-second voice note using the LinkedIn app. It humanizes you and helps you stand out in a sea of faceless connection requests.
Keep it short, personal, and professional. Something like:
“Hey [Name], thanks for connecting. I’ve been following your work at [Company] and would love to learn more about your team’s approach to [area of expertise]. Let me know if you’re open to a quick chat sometime—either way, appreciate the connection!”
No long messages. No awkward asks.
Just real, genuine, human connection in a digital world overflowing with AI. 🤖
3️⃣ Record and Rewatch Interview Answers—3 Ways
Hear me out: Record yourself practicing and answering interview questions...then rewatch it, 3 ways. (yes I'm serious)
Rehearsing in your head isn’t enough. The best way to improve your interview performance is to see and hear yourself the way others will.
So give this a shot: 🎥 Record yourself answering a common interview question (like “Tell me about yourself”)
1️⃣ Play it back fully 🎧
2️⃣ Then listen to just the audio—focus on tone, filler words, pacing, etc.
3️⃣ Lastly, watch it on mute—what’s your body language saying?
It's gonna feel cringy, but just lean into it. You’ll notice things you never would’ve caught otherwise. Even one round of this exercise can boost your awareness—and your confidence—big time.
